SOHBATPUR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sohbatpur, Fareeda Tareen, inspected the under-construction Government Girls College and District Complex buildings on Friday, reviewing the pace and quality of the ongoing development works supervised by the Communications and Works (C&W) Buildings Department.
During the visit, Executive Engineer Buildings, Irfan Ali, briefed the DC on the current progress, development activities, and challenges being faced in the projects.
DC Tareen directed officials to ensure uncompromised quality standards in construction and to utilize all available resources to complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe. She stressed that the government is investing significant resources in promoting education and public welfare, making it a collective responsibility to deliver sustainable and high-quality facilities for long-term benefit to the people.
Highlighting the importance of the projects, the DC said that the construction of the Government Girls College will provide local students with greater access to higher education, while the completion of the District Complex will enable citizens to access all government offices and services under one roof.
She further instructed concerned officers to accelerate the pace of work and ensure transparency in the utilization of funds. “Development projects are a guarantee of the region’s brighter future, and negligence will not be tolerated,” she remarked.

Officials from the Buildings Department were also present during the visit and provided the Deputy Commissioner with detailed updates on the latest status of the schemes.
