DC Quetta inspects arrangements for Balochistan’s biggest Job fair at BUITEMS

QUETTA: Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Meharullah Badini, visited the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) to review preparations for what is set to be the province’s largest job fair.

The event will take place at the university’s Expo Center, where thousands of students are expected to participate. The Deputy Commissioner inspected arrangements for venue management, security, facilitation desks, and coordination among participating organizations.

He focused on the importance of ensuring smooth logistics to provide students with a productive and encouraging environment as they explore employment opportunities.

The Deputy Commissioner has directed the formation of a special team comprising officers from the district administration. The team has been tasked with overseeing operational planning, assisting university management, and addressing any administrative needs during the event.

In this regard, more than 100 national and regional institutions, companies, and private organizations will set up recruitment and information booths at the fair.

These participating entities represent sectors including technology, engineering, banking, telecommunications, education, and public services.

Furthermore, the employers will offer job openings, career counseling, and on-site interviews, providing students with direct access to hiring representatives.

Moreover, the estimated 5,000 students from across Balochistan are expected to attend. The fair is designed to help young graduates secure jobs, internships, and training opportunities that align with their academic backgrounds and professional aspirations.

So far, the university representatives noted that such events play a crucial role in bridging the gap between academia and industry, increasing career readiness among youth, and supporting broader provincial development goals.

On the contrary, DC Quetta visits several old age homes where he distributed warm clothes, and he considers this as need of an hour.

In addition, Deputy Commissioner Badini expressed appreciation for BUITEMS’ efforts in organizing an event of this scale and confirmed the district administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote youth employment.

He added that collaborative events like this job fair can help address unemployment while encouraging students to explore diverse career pathways.

The job fair is viewed as a significant step toward empowering students across Balochistan and strengthening engagement between employers and emerging talent in the province.
