QUETTA: On May 26, 2025, Deputy Commissioner Kachhi, Jehanzaib Baloch, inaugurated a seven-day anti-polio campaign at the DC Office in Dhadar by administering oral polio drops to young children.
He was accompanied by DHO Kachhi Dr. Shehzad Wahid Mengal, WHO’s Dr. Abdul Rahim Zarkoon, and UNICEF’s Dr. Imran Abro.
Speaking to the media, DC Jehanzaib Baloch emphasized that both federal and provincial governments are making continuous efforts to protect children from polio through repeated vaccination drives.
He urged parents and guardians across the district to fully cooperate with frontline health workers visiting their homes and ensure their children under five receive polio drops, which provide lifelong protection against this crippling disease.
He warned that polio is close to being eradicated in Pakistan, but a collective effort is crucial to ensure no child is left unvaccinated.
“If your child is to walk tomorrow, the decision must be made today,” he stated.
