CTD police kill most-wanted Khawarij in DG Khan shootout

DG KHAN: Police shot dead a most-wanted terrorist affiliated with the Indian proxy Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during a shootout on Monday.

The encounter took place on Cement Factory Road within the jurisdiction of Kala Police Station in Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to a police spokesperson, the terrorist—identified as Bilal Bashir alias Khosa—was planning targeted killings, including a double murder and attacks on police personnel.

During routine patrolling, armed assailants opened fire on a police mobile. Police retaliated and killed Bilal on the spot.

The spokesperson confirmed that Bilal was a hardened terrorist wanted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in several cases, including terrorism, attempted murder, and armed robbery.

Police said Bilal’s death marks a significant blow to the TTP’s network in the region.
