QUETTA: As many as nine terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Khanoi Baba area of Pishin district, Balochistan.
CTD spokesperson told local media that the operation was launched after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of militants involved in heinous activities.
Spokesperson said that the slain terrorists were linked to various incidents of terrorism, adding that the forces also recovered a cache of weapons and explosives from the site.
The spokesperson emphasized that the operation marks a significant success in the ongoing fight against terrorism and a step toward ensuring peace in Balochistan.
Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, praised the CTD for their effective action and working with the dedication to ensure the lives and property of masses.
“Such efforts were essential for maintaining peace in the Balochistan”, Bugti said.
