ISLAMABAD: Construction work has officially begun on the N-25 highway connecting Karachi, Quetta and Chaman.
The development was reviewed during a high-level meeting of the National Highway Authority (NHA) held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan.
During the meeting, officials informed that construction activities have started on the 800-kilometre-long Pakistan Expressway in Balochistan.
The federal minister said that the Prime Minister had announced the construction of this major highway earlier this year, and its completion would be of great importance for the development of the province.
Abdul Aleem Khan further stated that work on the N-25 Highway from Khuzdar to Mastung is progressing continuously, and the completion of the Pakistan Expressway will prove to be a major breakthrough for Balochistan.
The meeting also reviewed progress on road projects in Gwadar, Khipro, the Coastal Highway and other key routes.
The minister directed that remaining highways in Balochistan should be completed on a priority basis.
Discussions were also held on security arrangements and other related matters for highway construction.
The Chairman of the NHA and senior officials briefed the federal minister on the ongoing and upcoming road development projects across the province.
It is worth mentioning that the current Balochistan government has taken many significant measures acorss Balochistan for the development , jobs and trade across Balochistan.
Moreover, the People’s Party Government has also carried out some important movers for the students from primary to the higher education level by provinding them scholarship.
The provincial goverment has announced 45000 jobs for the youth. Some 6 thousand young people are set to be sent to the Europeane countries for the jobs.
The government is also taking meausres to send the students to the top 200 univeristy of the world on the scholarship.
The pace of the development has also been enhanced to root out the deprivation and the frustration of the people of Balochistan.
