SATGHARA: A police constable opened fire and seriously injured the Station House Officer (SHO) of Satghara police station before fleeing the scene, triggering a major manhunt that ended in his dramatic arrest.
According to details, the accused constable, identified as Abdullah, shot SHO Satghara, wounding him in the stomach within the police station premises. Following the shooting, the constable immediately fled. Senior officers quickly formed special teams, which tracked down and apprehended the accused policeman in what was described as a dramatic operation.
District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Rashid Hidayat confirmed the arrest, stating the accused has been transferred to custody for a thorough investigation. A dedicated team led by SP Investigation Malik Dawood is working to uncover the complete facts and motives behind the shocking incident.
The injured SHO was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. DPO Hidayat personally visited the hospital to inquire after the officer’s health and review the medical facilities being provided.
The police have registered a formal case against Constable Abdullah under severe charges, including attempted murder. While the criminal investigation proceeds, parallel departmental disciplinary action has also been initiated against the accused officer. Authorities have assured that the full circumstances leading to this unprecedented act of violence within the force will be revealed upon the investigation’s completion.
