CHAGHI: A police constable was martyred and a suspected terrorist was killed in a shootout during a raid on suspected robbers in Dalbandin, headquarters of Chaghi district, on Thursday.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police was injured during an exchange of fire with terrorists in Dalbandin, headquarters of Chagai district, on Thursday.
As per details, the police team led by DSP Abid Sherzai raided a house in Dalbandin after receiving a tip-off of the presence of terrorists.
When the police team raided, the suspected terrorists opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, a police constable was martyred and DSP Abid Sherzai was injured in the firing. Police also retaliated and opened fire, killing a suspected terrorist.

The injured DSP was taken to the Prince Fahad bin Sultan DHQ Hospital for treatment. According to the SP Chaghi, DSP Abid Sherzai was critically injured and shifted to Quetta after initial treatment in Dalbandin.
