Commissioner conducts interviews for vacant medical posts across Sibi

SIBI: The Commissioner Sibi Division Asadullah Faiz conducted interviews for vacant positions of doctors in teaching hospitals, district headquarters hospitals and rural health centers (RHCs) across the division.

The recruitment exercise aimed to assess candidates for various medical posts that have remained unfilled in recent months, affecting the delivery of healthcare services in several districts.

The candidates underwent a detailed evaluation of their professional competence, relevant experience and technical skills. Furthermore, Commissioner Faiz said the selection process would be completed strictly in accordance with government rules and merit-based procedures.

He focused on the fact that the availability of administrative and technical staff in the health sector is essential to ensure uninterrupted medical services.

In addition, the commissioner added that the government aims to bridge the gap in medical staffing, particularly in underserved areas, by accelerating recruitment and ensuring transparency throughout the process.

“Appointing qualified and hardworking doctors in public institutions will help provide better healthcare facilities to the people,” he said.

“The provincial government is taking serious steps to improve the health sector, and work is under way under a coordinated strategy to further enhance the quality of services at the divisional level.”

So far, District Commissioner Sibi, Major (R) Ilyas Kabzai, Divisional Director Health, deputy commissioners from all five districts of the Sibi Division, medical superintendents, district health officers (DHOs) and other relevant officials were also present during the interviews.

However, the district administration showed confidence that timely appointments would ease the workload on existing medical staff and contribute to improving patient care across hospitals and health centers in the division.

The interview panel is expected to complete its assessments soon, after which the appointment process will proceed as per official guidelines.
