Peshawar Corps Wins 50th COAS Polo and Tent Pegging Championship

RAWALPINDI: The 50th Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Polo and Tent Pegging Championship 2025 concluded at the Jinnah Polo Fields in Lahore, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Tuesday.

Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Punjab’s Minister of Interior and Chief Secretary, along with a large number of spectators, were also present.

Upon arrival, Munir was received by the Corps Commander Lahore and the Chairman of the Pakistan Polo Federation, it added.

Eight teams competed in the championship. Peshawar Corps emerged as the winner, while Gujranwala Corps secured second place.

The championship highlighted the Pakistan Army’s traditions of sportsmanship, discipline, and excellence, ISPR said.

During the closing ceremony, the chief guest distributed prizes to the winning and participating players.
