LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has lauded the security forces for their successful operation against militants in Zhob, Balochistan.
In her statement, she said that Pakistan’s soldiers possess the capability to eliminate the enemy regardless of whether they are hiding in the remotest corners of the land or atop mountain peaks.
She described the bravery and sacrifices of the armed forces as the true shield of the nation.
She further stated that the entire nation is determined to eradicate every operative of the militant faction known as “Fitna al-Khawarij.”
It is worth noting that a day earlier, security forces, during an operation in Sambaza, a tehsil of Zhob district, successfully tracked down and killed 14 militants who were reportedly operating under Indian patronage.
For years, groups linked to “Fitna al-Hindustan” and “Fitna al-Khawarij” have been involved in subversive activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, targeting both security forces and innocent civilians. These organized extremist groups have also been attacking public and government properties on a daily basis, spreading fear and uncertainty.
Earlier today, a bomb attack near a railway track caused several coaches of the Jaffar Express to overturn.
Despite these threats, Pakistan’s armed forces remain resolute in their mission to completely eliminate these insurgents and their anti-state agendas from Balochistan.
Just last week, successful operations in Panjgur, Zhob, and Turbat resulted in the killing of nearly 100 militants linked to “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
