QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti urged young officers to take a leading role in improving governance and public service.
Addressing a group of newly inducted officers, Bugti stressed that duty, integrity, and service to the public must be their guiding principles.
He reminded the officers that authority is not power, but a tool for serving the people. “True success lies in sincere efforts to solve public problems,” he said.
The Chief Minister emphasized that while the government formulates policies, it is the administration’s job to implement them effectively.
Bugti highlighted key achievements of the last fiscal year. He said better financial management saved Rs. 14 billion. All development funds were fully utilized, allowing projects to be completed on time. Pension reforms also helped reduce the growing financial burden.
He said improving governance and service delivery is essential to solving the province’s problems. “Balochistan’s issue is not uneven development,” he added. “The real challenge comes from elements trying to break the country.”
