QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has said that it is very important to educate youth younger generation about the historical and ground realities of Balochistan, adding that it is vital to bridging the gap between perception and reality and guiding society away from misleading ideologies.
CM Bugti said this while addressing a gathering of newly appointed officers who successfully cleared competitive examinations. The event was attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hamza Shafqaat, Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Zahid Saleem, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, and Finance Secretary Imran Zarkoon.
CM Bugti further said that the young officers are vital and effective part of the state machinery, adding that the foundation of improved governance, public service, and transparency rests on their shoulders.
He stressed that moving Balochistan out of its current challenges and onto a path of peace and development requires institutional harmony and a shared vision.
Bugti highlighted the government’s fiscal achievements, stating that through better financial discipline in the past fiscal year, the province saved over Rs. 14 billion in non-development expenditure. He also noted that 100% release of development funds enabled timely completion of multiple projects.
