Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti stated that terrorism occurs daily in several areas of Balochistan, while many other regions have seen no terrorist incidents for several months.
Speaking to a private TV channel, Sarfraz Bugti said that terrorists target weak points and attack where they find vulnerability.
He described 12 to 13 districts of the province as sensitive.
Mischief-makers blackmail others, yet their own children live safely abroad.
Previously, these elements used to talk about independence under India’s instructions.
According to the Chief Minister, incidents of terrorism are now fewer in areas such as Hub, Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Loralai, and Qilla Saifullah.
He noted that Balochistan constitutes 43 percent of Pakistan’s total land area.
Sarfraz Bugti added that the insurgents, inspired by the Kurds, had launched a futile war.
He emphasized that the writ of the state has now been fully restored in the province.
He said the situation has reached a point where the insurgents have begun resorting to looting motorcycles and banks.
The Chief Minister further revealed that whenever militants appear on roads, security forces respond within 20 to 30 minutes.
