Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the vehicles returned by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will now be sent to Balochistan.
The announcement came after Chief Minister Balochistan, Sardar Sarfraz Bugti, requested on social media that the bulletproof vehicles returned by the KP government be provided to Balochistan.
Responding promptly to the request, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that the bulletproof vehicles being returned from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will now be allocated to Balochistan.
It is worth mentioning that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi had earlier instructed that the bulletproof vehicles provided to the provincial police by the Interior Ministry be returned.
Bulletproof vans are crucial for the Balochistan Police due to the province’s sensitive security situation and challenging terrain.
Law enforcement personnel often face threats from terrorist attacks, armed groups, and ambushes while performing their duties.
These specially designed vehicles provide essential protection during operations, patrols, and the transportation of officials in high-risk areas.
By enhancing the safety of police officers, bulletproof vans enable them to respond more effectively to emergencies and maintain law and order with greater confidence.
Their availability also boosts morale and reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening security infrastructure across Balochistan’s most vulnerable regions.
