Pishin: Addressing a public gathering in Killi Karbala, Pishin, Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the equal development of all regions of the province, stressing that public service remains his top priority.
He assured the people that no area would be left deprived. Acknowledging that Balochistan faces serious challenges with limited resources, he said the province’s natural wealth would be utilized through global investment and modern technology.
Speaking on the Mines and Minerals Act, the Chief Minister dismissed the criticism as baseless propaganda.
He clarified that Balochistan’s resources cannot be handed over without the consent of its people.
He further announced that the Act would be reintroduced in the provincial assembly and passed with consensus.
Bugti declared Karbala as a new tehsil, upgrading its hospital to a Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, to be managed under Indus Hospital’s administration.
He also announced the construction of a 10-kilometer road, solar energy projects, and the establishment of an inter-college to address long-standing demands of local Baloch tribes. Additionally, a development package worth Rs. 500 million will be provided for Harmzai, Karbala, and Saranan, while Karbala will also be upgraded to the status of a municipal committee in accordance with the law.
The Chief Minister emphasized that for him there is no distinction between government and opposition, as the entire province remains his priority.
He highlighted that under the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program, Balochistan’s youth are being given the chance to study at 200 universities across the world.
Concluding his address, Bugti said: “Greatness lies in Pakistani identity.
