Balochistan youth is targeted through a conspiracy: CM Bugti

Quetta – Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has said that a deliberate conspiracy is underway to distance the province’s youth from the state.

Addressing teachers and students at the Tameer-e-Nau Public College Quetta on Monday, he stressed that it is the duty of teachers to inspire the young generation with patriotism and protect them from negative influences.

He remarked that the institution reflects the values of Islam and Pakistani identity, where students are being shaped under the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

He praised teachers as chosen individuals of Allah who spread knowledge and play a crucial role in character-building.

Bugti warned that propaganda campaigns are actively fueling anti-state sentiments among the youth of Balochistan to exploit them against their own country.

“History bears witness that those loyal to Pakistan earned dignity, while those who betrayed the nation faced disgrace,” he noted.

He criticized the misuse of social media, where unverified news is widely shared, unlike in developed countries that first invested in education, economy, and infrastructure.

The Chief Minister urged students to resist negative propaganda and instead focus on research, education, and national service.

He declared that those dreaming of “liberating Balochistan through violence” are living in illusions, and the government will not allow youth to be pushed into a futile conflict.

He highlighted that the provincial government is offering scholarships to prestigious global universities, while anti-state groups are luring the same youth toward extremist paths such as suicide attacks.

Bugti stressed that unequal development exists worldwide, but it cannot justify rebellion against the state.

He said criticism of government policies is acceptable, but treachery against the country is intolerable since Article 5 of Pakistan’s Constitution makes unconditional loyalty to the state mandatory for every citizen.

He further stated that merit is being ensured in the province, with the government having provided 12,000 jobs on a transparent and merit-based system.

He also announced uninterrupted funding for the Prof. Fazal Bari Shaheed BS Block and expressed support for holding the Allama Iqbal International Conference in Quetta, proposed by Tameer-e-Nau College.

Concluding his speech, Bugti said: “We must instill love for Pakistan in our hearts, as this is our true strength and the key to success.”
