QUETTA: A high-level meeting of the Provincial “Harden the State” Committee was held on Wednesday at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta under the chairmanship of Mir Sarfaraz Bugti.
The meeting reviewed in detail the targets set by both the National and Provincial Action Committees, the overall law and order situation, and the ongoing security operations across the province.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakil Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Home Hamza Shafqat, and other senior security officials.
During the briefing, Additional Chief Secretary Hamza Shafqat informed the participants that coordinated and effective operations are underway against “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
It was revealed that 100 terrorists have been neutralized in the northern regions of Balochistan, while over 200 operations have been conducted in Kachhi district.
Successful actions against criminal elements are also continuing in other districts.
The meeting was further informed that 3,561 illegal petrol pumps have been sealed across the province.
Customs authorities conducted 2,575 operations over the last three months and seized 416 non-custom-paid vehicles.
The registration process of religious seminaries and the implementation of newly formed regulations are also being strictly enforced.
Expressing satisfaction over the improved law and order situation, anti-smuggling measures, and operations against criminal elements, the Chief Minister said that the writ of the state will be upheld at all costs.
He directed all relevant institutions to further accelerate their operations and show no leniency under any circumstances.
The Chief Minister made it clear that decisions of the National and Provincial Action Committees will be implemented with full dedication, responsibility, and continuity.
He emphasized that firm and indiscriminate action against lawbreakers is the government’s top priority, and a strict zero-tolerance policy against crime, lawlessness, and insecurity will continue across the province.
Mir Sarfaraz Bugti further stated that the protection of life and property of every citizen of Balochistan is the fundamental responsibility of the state, and the government will utilize all available resources to ensure lasting peace and uninterrupted development in the province
