CM Bugti inaugurates Balochistan largest emergency care facility in Quetta

Sarfraz Bugti to be removed from the CM postion

QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, announced Thursday that the new Trauma Centre in Quetta will significantly enhance the province’s emergency healthcare capacity, enabling immediate and effective treatment of critical cases and saving countless lives.

During a review visit of the under-construction facility on Spini Road, Quetta, CM Bugti emphasized the importance of modern medical infrastructure for quality emergency care. He was briefed by Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Health Secretary Mujib-ur-Rehman Panezai, and Communications Secretary Lal Jan Jaffer on the project’s progress.

The Trauma Centre, with a capacity of 135–150 beds, is in its final stages of completion and will be the largest and most advanced emergency medical institution in Balochistan, built to international standards.

The centre will feature four modern Intensive Care Units (ICUs), eight state-of-the-art Operation Theatres (OTs), advanced imaging facilities and laboratory units and dedicated Post-Operative Care Units.

CM Sarfraz Bugti expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of construction, commending the efforts of the health and communications teams. He reiterated that public health remains the government’s highest priority, and the Trauma Centre will serve as a milestone in this mission.

“Ensuring the most modern facilities for ICU, OT, imaging, and laboratories for patients is being ensured according to international standards,” CM Bugti confirmed.

The Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed that the expansion of modern medical infrastructure in Balochistan’s major urban centers is a fundamental government objective. He stressed that ongoing health sector reforms will rapidly advance public welfare goals, ensuring better access to life-saving care for citizens.

Meanwhile the Musa Khel incident has met another stunning twist and the victims have now been threatened by the Chiefs of the tribes.

According to details, the eight victims of the Mus Khel incident have now escaped from their houses and have taken shelter in a nearby village.

In a viral video, the victims tell that they have fled from their village after the case was filed against the member of the Jirga Committee.

The incident took place a couple of days earlier when a shopkeeper claimed that eight men allegedly stole his 20 thousand rupees from the shop.
