CM Bugti: Government to support youth embracing knowledge, peace
QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has Balochistan has now entered a new and fruitful phase.
CM Bugti expressed these views while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Zahoor Shah Hashmi Digital Library. Member of Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan and other officials were also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that this is proof that when the public, civil society and district administration unite under one goal, a new chapter of knowledge and development can be written.
CM said that I appreciate this commendable initiative and also ask the Deputy Commissioners and officers of other districts of Balochistan to adopt similar models for the promotion of knowledge and skills in their respective areas so that a positive and bright path can be provided to the young generation.
He said that today I got the opportunity to meet the intelligent and talented students of Balochistan in Gwadar, who are the real capital and future of our province. The Balochistan government firmly believes in good governance, equal provision of education and provision of development opportunities.

Regarding the government initiative of providing scholarships to students, CM revealed that for the first time in the history of Balochistan, the “Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program” has been launched, under which ten boys and ten girls from each district who have shown outstanding performance after matriculation in government boards will be able to continue their education with full government sponsorship of sixteen years of educational expenses.
Similarly, the government will also provide PhD scholarships on merit. is giving, through which the youth of Balochistan will be able to do doctorate in scientific fields in 200 best universities of the world. Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that our government has made recruitments in the health and education departments completely on merit for the first time so that the youth get their legitimate rights.
In the last one year, more than 3200 closed schools have been reopened and for the first time since the establishment of Pakistan, the services of doctors have been made available to the public in many medical centers.
He said that Gwadar is the top priority of the Balochistan government because its development will strengthen the economic foundations of not only the province but also the entire country. We are proud of the youth of Gwadar who succeeded in the most difficult competitive examinations like CSS and PCS and made Balochistan proud.
CM Bugti said that the government wants you to follow the path of education, skills, peace and development. Unfortunately, some misguided elements are trying to put the youth on the path of extremism, violence and destruction. The decision is in the hands of the youth whether they follow the path of development or misguidance. We are following the agenda, but it is clear that the government will stand with every youth who chooses the path of knowledge, awareness, positive thinking and peace.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that laptops and books for the preparation of competitive exams will be provided to the students of Gwadar. Chief Minister and other speakers appreciated the performance of Deputy Commissioner Hamood-ur-Rehman and his team for establishing this modern library.
