QUETTA : Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, extended his official congratulations on Thursday to Field Marshal General Asim Munir on his new role as Chief of Defence Force (CDF). In a series of formal statements, the Chief Minister lauded the military leader’s appointment as a pivotal moment for national security.

Bugti asserted that the appointment aligns perfectly with the nation’s aspirations and the critical requirements of Pakistan’s security framework. He expressed unwavering confidence in General Munir’s leadership, stating that every soldier defending Pakistan’s borders holds “full faith” in his command. Under this leadership, Bugti noted, the Pakistan Armed Forces have “raised the nation’s head with pride by thwarting every aggression of the enemy.”

The Chief Minister also framed General Munir’s vision within a broader historical context, predicting it would prove to be a “historic milestone for the establishment of national security and peace.” He credited the military’s efforts with helping Pakistan emerge as a “strong Islamic welfare state.” Extending the sentiment from the provincial government and its people, Bugti conveyed that the citizens of Balochistan “pay tribute to the professional leadership of Field Marshal General Asim Munir.”

In a strong affirmation of provincial solidarity with national institutions, Chief Minister Bugti concluded by reiterating Balochistan’s steadfast support. “Balochistan will always stand by the side of the Pakistani Armed Forces in the journey of national unity, solidarity and defense,” he declared, reinforcing the message of a unified front under the new military leadership. Meanwhile the Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that Pakistan will now soar to new heights.

During an informal discussion with the media persons in the Presidency, Field Marshal Asim Munir answered a few questions and said that everything is right at the moment as you could see.

He further said that Pakistan will now soar to new heights.

The Prime Minister has approved the appointment of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces and has forwarded the summary to the President’s House.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will serve simultaneously as the Chief of Army Staff and the country’s first Chief of Defence Forces.
