QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has met the Vice Chancellors of various universities across the province, under the leadership of Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hameed Durrani, to address the financial and administrative issues in the higher education sector of the province.
According to details, Key decisions included bringing uniformity to university salaries to eliminate discrepancies and discouraging the recruitment of unnecessary support staff. CM Bugti emphasized the need for strict merit and transparency in all university affairs.
CM Sarfaraz Bugti also called for promoting modern, industry-relevant disciplines instead of outdated ones, taking practical steps to boost university revenue, and expanding extracurricular activities for the holistic development of students.

The meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretary Higher Education, and Secretary Finance.
