QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, chaired a key meeting of all administrative secretaries on Tuesday. The session focused on pushing forward governance reforms and ensuring timely development.
CM Bugti stressed that large-scale reforms are essential for good governance and effective service delivery. He said that the government is committed to a reform agenda, with merit-based decisions as the key to success.
The chief minister declared that secretaries are directly responsible for implementing development schemes. He also announced that all federally and foreign-funded projects will be continuously monitored.
Calling the full and transparent use of resources in the last fiscal year a historic achievement, Bugti stated the government had successfully ended the negative perception of delayed fund utilization in Balochistan.
“I have full confidence in the professional capabilities of our officers,” Bugti said. “Restoring the system is only possible through collective efforts.”
He added that placing the right people in the right positions will improve performance.
Highlighting youth empowerment, Bugti said the Chief Minister’s Youth Skills Development Program lays the foundation for a brighter future. He emphasized that its success rests with the relevant institutions.
Bugti pointed out that launching development projects from the first day of the new fiscal year reflects the government’s strong commitment. He also said that active District Development Committees will help solve local issues quickly.
“Our every effort is focused on solving public problems,” the CM noted, adding that field officers must remain present and active to address people’s concerns.
