QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that Youm-e-Ashura teaches us the values of sacrifice, patience, truth and standing with the oppressed.
In a statement issued on the 10th of Muharram, the Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti paid glowing tribute to Imam Hussain (AS) and his loyal companions, who he said bravely stood against tyranny and exposed falsehood through their courage and martyrdom in Karbala.
“Imam Hussain (AS) taught us that truth must prevail, even in the face of oppression. His sacrifice is a timeless lesson for humanity”, said CM Bugti.
He emphasized that true devotion lies not just in remembrance, but in understanding and practicing the principles for which Imam Hussain (AS) laid down his life.

CM Bugti also highlighted the efforts of the Balochistan government to ensure peace and security during Ashura processions and Majalis, reaffirming that all necessary arrangements had been made to maintain law and order.
He called upon citizens to embody the spirit of Karbala by promoting tolerance, compassion, and justice in society.
