QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has declared unemployment the biggest challenge in the province and announced a major plan to create jobs for the youth.

Presiding over a meeting, the CM stated that smuggling and illegal trade are not the future for Balochistan’s young generation. Instead, the government will focus on providing education, modern skills, and respectable employment opportunities.

Officials announced that 30,000 young men and women will receive training in various fields through the Youth Skills Development Program. This training, provided by certified institutions, will equip them with skills needed for jobs both within Pakistan and abroad.

A special focus will be on youth from border districts, who will be given priority in both the skills program and interest-free loan schemes. This is to encourage them away from smuggling and towards legal livelihoods.

CM Bugti directed officials to ensure the program is completed on time with full transparency, calling the youth the province’s most valuable asset.
