CM Sarfraz Bugti announces major projects for Qila Saifullah

Qila Saifullah: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed that the people of the province are united in their stand against terrorism, promising that those responsible for attacks on innocent citizens will be held accountable.

He made these remarks while addressing a large public gathering in Qila Saifullah at the invitation of MPA Maulvi Noorullah.

The chief minister stressed that terrorism—whether justified under religion or ethnicity—has nothing to do with rights or development, calling it an act of oppression and hostility toward the state.

He said the people of Balochistan form a “wall of resistance” against extremists and will never yield to them.

Condemning the recent suicide blast in Quetta targeting a political rally, Bugti stated that while political differences exist, the entire province stands united against terrorism.

He expressed full solidarity with the affected party, its leadership, workers, and the bereaved families.

Highlighting democratic rights, he said peaceful protest will always be respected, but road blockades, tire burning, and disruptions to public life will not be tolerated.

He warned that no one will be allowed to jeopardize the safety of patients, travelers, or ordinary citizens.

Bugti also unveiled a series of development initiatives for Qila Saifullah and surrounding areas.

These include the creation of new administrative districts—making Muslim Bagh a district soon, the establishment of a Danish School under the prime minister’s commitment, construction of Sarki Road (Murgha Faqir to Karam) and Joshin Narai to Aishoot Road following feasibility approval, and Rs. 5 million for Qila Saifullah Football Stadium with new equipment, spectator stands, and maintenance facilities.

He further announced the construction of Kan Mehterzai Dam to conserve water, alongside progress on Bateenai Gate and Bazargai Terminal to enhance trade links with Central Asia and Punjab.

The chief minister noted that the Levies Force is being integrated into the police across the province, but local youth of Qila Saifullah will be given preference in recruitment.

He underlined that Balochistan’s mineral resources belong first and foremost to its people, and no one will be allowed to exploit their rights.
