CJCSC: China a guarantor of regional peace and stability

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has described China as a key guarantor of South Asia, highlighting its pivotal role in maintaining peace and security in the region.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza attended the ceremony of the 98th founding day of the People’s Liberation Army of the People’s Republic of China as a special guest.

The ceremony was attended by civil and military officials, media representatives, business leaders and members of civil society, reflecting widespread support for Pak-China friendship.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Chinese people, military leadership and all officers and men of the People’s Liberation Army and appreciated the key role of the PLA in China’s astonishing development and rapid modernization under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping.

CJCSC termed China as a guarantor of stability in the security situation of the region. In his address, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza reiterated the long-standing, tested and ironclad friendship between Pakistan and China.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza further said that both countries are determined to further strengthen and expand this unique relationship in every field.

He emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the security of Chinese nationals working in Pakistan, the progress of CPEC, the promotion of defense cooperation, and joint efforts for regional harmony and development.
