Civil-Military cooperation continues development

Quetta: In collaboration with the civil administration, Pakistan Army, and Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, the Government of Balochistan has formally launched a comprehensive development program across the province.

Under the Balochistan Special Development Initiative (BSDI), development activities are being carried out at an accelerated pace.

District-level committees are actively identifying long-pending public welfare projects and ensuring their timely approval in line with local needs.

A total of 969 development schemes have been included under BSDI across all 35 districts of Balochistan. In the areas under FC Balochistan north, development projects worth Rs 8,705 million are currently in progress.

So far, 44 projects have been completed, work orders for 75 projects have been issued, while 90 projects are advancing rapidly toward completion in various districts of FC Balochistan North.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan and the Quetta Corps Commander have directed that all projects under both phases be completed by May 30, 2026.

The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) is ensuring strict monitoring to maintain quality standards, transparency, and timely execution.

Local residents have expressed satisfaction with the BSDI projects and appreciated the collective efforts of the institutions involved.

According to the public, the joint collaboration between the civil administration, Pakistan Army, and FC Balochistan has given a new momentum to the province’s development process.
