ISLAMABAD: President of China Xi Jinping showed warm congratulations to Asif Ali Zardari on the occasion of Pakistan Day, confirming China’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and building a closer community with a shared future.
In this regard, President Xi underscored the longstanding friendship between China and Pakistan, noting that this year indicates the launch of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan as well as the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
He expressed readiness to work closely with President Zardari to further deepen cooperation across multiple sectors.
President Xi mentioned the importance of continuing the traditional bond of friendship, enhancing strategic communication, and aligning development strategies.
He focused on that both nations should move forward together on their respective paths toward modernization, reinforcing mutual trust and collaboration.
The Chinese leader also commended Pakistan’s efforts in safeguarding its national sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and dignity. He acknowledged the country’s resilience in overcoming various challenges and its continued progress in national development.
Furthermore, he appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace, stability, and economic prosperity.
“As a close friend, China is sincerely pleased with Pakistan’s development achievements,” President Xi said, reaffirming Beijing’s support for Islamabad.
In this sense, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi conveyed his congratulations to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. In his message, Wang noted that Pakistan has made significant strides in economic and social development despite facing numerous challenges, and has emerged as an increasingly influential player in regional and international affairs.
He reasserted China’s willingness to work with Pakistan to implement the consensus reached by the leadership of both countries and to further deepen the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.
Meanwhile, Chinese Premier Li Qiang also sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, mentioning the continued high-level exchanges between the two nations.
