ISLAMABAD: Khurram Shehzad, Adviser to the Finance Minister has confirmed that Pakistan has received a $6 million grant from China to support the reconstruction of houses in Balochistan.
According to the Economic Affairs Division’s monthly report on foreign economic assistance for July 2025, the Chinese government has officially disbursed the grant aimed at improving housing infrastructure in some of the most vulnerable areas of the country.
Khurram Shehzad, told Wealth Pakistan that the Chinese aid is specifically targeted toward the rehabilitation of homes in disaster-prone regions of Balochistan.
He said that this aid showed China’s continued commitment to Pakistan’s development, particularly in strengthening infrastructure and housing capacity in some of the most affected parts of the country.
