QUETTA: Quetta’s Airport Police swiftly acted on a highly sensitive and tragic incident, arresting the suspect involved in the assault of a dumb child.
According to police officials, the operation was carried out following urgent directives from senior authorities, aimed at ensuring immediate justice for the victim and sending a strong message to prevent such crimes in the future.
Upon receiving the report, SSP Operations Muhammad Asif Khan ordered an emergency response, which was supervised directly by SP Saddar Syed Talal Ahmed Shah.
Under the guidance of DSP Airport Ajab Khan Kakar, the Airport Police Station team was assigned the task without delay.
SHO Muhammad Nasir Awan and his team reached the crime scene promptly and arrested the accused during a quick and effective operation.
Based on initial evidence, the suspect has been booked, and further investigation is progressing rapidly.
Police sources said the child’s statement, medical report, and other available evidence will be included in the case to ensure the suspect is brought to justice.
Officials also reaffirmed that no leniency will be shown in crimes against children and that strict measures will be taken to curb such incidents.
Community members and social activists have appreciated the police’s timely action and urged that the victim and his family be provided legal support as well as psychological assistance to help them recover from the trauma.
Police further stated that every aspect of the case is being thoroughly examined and more developments are expected soon.
