Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has assured the resolution of issues faced by the national hockey team and issued cheques to the players.
According to sources, following an unpleasant incident during the Hockey Pro League, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a special meeting with the players of the national hockey team and gave firm assurances that their problems would be addressed.
The players detailed the unfortunate incidents they had experienced, to which Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep regret.
He personally issued cheques of Rs 1 million (10 lakh rupees) each to the players.
Mohsin Naqvi also directed that the national hockey team camp should start from tomorrow (or immediately).
He told the players to focus on their preparation and training.
