QUETTA: Governor Balochistan met with traders and tribal elders from the border town of Chaman on Tuesday to discuss local economic challenges.
The delegation, led by Amanullah Khan, convener of the Pashtun National Jirga, highlighted difficulties faced by traders and residents due to the border closure.
Officials said the closure has intensified problems for local communities.
The governor acknowledged the concerns and said the government is aware of the hardships faced by traders and the general public in border areas.
He emphasized that economic growth depends on strengthening trade and agriculture sectors.
The governor assured that the government is using all available resources to address the issues of traders and support local communities.
