CDF Asim Munir Meets Indonesian President

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in the federal capital, the military said on Tuesday.

The Inter Services PSPR said both sides discussed regional security, bilateral defence cooperation and other matters of mutual interest.

They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence ties between the two countries.

The Indonesian president praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He also acknowledged Pakistan’s contribution to regional peace and stability.

Field Marshal Munir said Pakistan values its longstanding partnership with Indonesia. He added that Pakistan remains committed to expanding cooperation in training, counterterrorism and capacity-building.
