QUETTA: An army captain and four soldiers were martyred in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in Balochistan on Monday.
According to reports, Captain Waqar Kakar, along with four other soldiers, was martyred in an IED blast in the Mastung area of Balochistan. As a result of the blast, their vehicle has been damaged.
The martyred soldiers included Captain Waqar, Naik Junaid, Naik Asmat, Lance Naik Muhammad and Sepoy Zahoor.
Captain Waqar Khan Kakar, who sacrificed his life for the homeland, was the son of Loralai, Balochistan.
This brave son of Balochistan was on a mission to protect the homeland and made the nation proud by sacrificing his life.
Waqar Khan Kakar Shaheed belonged to Hazara Mohalla of Loralai and was a former student of BRC Loralai.
Earlier today, the ISPR said in a statement that security forces killed 31 Indian-backed Fitna-al-Khawarij militants in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The total number of terrorists associated with Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij, killed during the last five days of intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has risen to 66.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media affairs wing of the Pakistan Army, security forces launched the first operation in Lakki Marwat district on September 13. Troops engaged in a fierce gun battle and killed 14 militants while targeting their hideouts.

In a second operation in Bannu district on September 14, security forces killed another 17 foreign-backed militants after intense fighting, ISPR said. A clearance operation is still underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.
