BYC’s silence on Sorab attack raises questions about their allegiances

QUETTA: Following the Sorab attack, the Indian Twitter accounts affiliated with the India’s intelligence agency RAW spread the hashtag Baloch Freedom Fighters. It was also observed that Indian media gave significant coverage to these terrorists, portraying the killers of women and children as a hero.

According to sources, while the attack by the Indian-funded Fitna al-Hindustan targeted innocent children and women, it was widely condemned. However, the self-styled champions of Baloch rights, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), remained silent, showing no regret or condemnation—clear evidence of their sympathies toward these terrorists.

In the Sorab attack, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Revenue Hidayatullah Baloch was martyred while fighting terrorists and protecting the civilian.

BYC neither condemned nor condoled. Because in their political dictionary, Baloch is just a gunman, not an assistant commissioner.

If the drone had retaliated, the same BYC would have staged a sit-in in front of international NGOs, causing civilian casualties. Thus, the human shield strategy would have been completely successful.

The target of the BLA is not just any building, it is the sovereignty of the state of Pakistan, and silent voices like BYC prolong the echoes of this terror. The answer is not just guns, but a comprehensive strategy that includes intelligence, timely information superiority, and winning the hearts of the local population.
