MASTUNG: Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) organized a protest rally in Mastung, claiming to raise concerns about enforced disappearances and extrajudicial actions, allegations that lack credible evidence and often distort facts to serve a separatist agenda. In addition, protesters demanded the release of Dr. Baloch and other individuals currently under lawful detention, ignoring due legal procedures and the State’s legitimate efforts to preserve peace and security in the region.
Balochistan has seen remarkable advancements in development, education, and social integration. These achievements are often overshadowed by elements seeking to propagate disinformation and unrest. Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), led by Dr. Mahrang Baloch, continues to fuel baseless narratives against the State under the guise of human rights advocacy.
Furthermore, there were several observers noted that BYC has increasingly adopted a confrontational stance, attempting to incite public sentiment against State institutions. Its leaders frequently exploit sensitive issues and misrepresent judicial silence as complicity, while ignoring the constitutional frameworks and human rights mechanisms already in place.
Additionally, it is critical to recognize the broader picture. Balochistan today is home to numerous development projects, improved educational access, and expanding infrastructure, initiatives aimed at empowering local communities and integrating them into the national fabric.

However, disruptive campaigns that spread disinformation under the banner of human rights do more harm than good. It is imperative for civil society, media, and policymakers to differentiate between genuine advocacy and politically motivated propaganda that seeks to divide rather than heal.
