QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, has emphatically declared that the government and people of Balochistan stand in complete unity with the oppressed population of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). His statement came during a special message marking Kashmir Solidarity Day, observed annually on February 5th across Pakistan.

Minister Buledi paid solemn tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, who have been engaged in a struggle for their fundamental right to self-determination for over seven decades. He highlighted their “unwavering courage” in the face of persistent Indian occupation and documented barbarities.

“The Kashmiri people’s struggle is a testament to an indomitable spirit that refuses to be subdued by force,” Buledi stated. He emphasized that the issue of Kashmir remains an unfinished agenda of the partition of the subcontinent and a persistent flashpoint on the international stage.

In a direct appeal to global powers, the provincial minister urged the international community to break its silence and take immediate notice of the severe atrocities and human rights violations being perpetrated in the occupied territory. He called upon world bodies to fulfill their moral and legal responsibilities by playing an active role in ensuring that the Kashmiri people can finally exercise their United Nations-mandated right to self-determination.

The minister’s message reinforced the national sentiment of Pakistan, underscoring that solidarity with Kashmir is a cornerstone of the country’s foreign policy and a shared emotional bond among all its provinces. Balochistan’s vocal support, as articulated by Buledi, signals a collective national stance on the issue, emphasizing diplomatic and moral support for the Kashmiri cause until its resolution.
