QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti reasserted that no group of armed militants could dictate its ideology or impose its will upon the 250 million citizens of Pakistan.
In this sense, the chief minister stressed that the state’s resolve to protect its people remained composed. He said peace was gradually but decisively returning to Balochistan, owing to the collective sacrifices of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and the resilient people of the province.
The chief minister cried over the narratives aimed at weakening national unity were being promoted by certain anti-state elements. In this regard, Bugti mentioned that the provincial government’s commitment to inclusive development, saying that peace and progress were deeply interconnected.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the security forces in restoring stability and improving law and order across the province.

The chief minister called upon the media, civil society, and political stakeholders to project Balochistan’s true image one of resilience, potential, and diversity while resisting efforts to spread discord.
