QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti reasserted his government’s determination to eradicate terrorism from the province, pledging that hostile designs against Pakistan would be foiled through unity and resilience.
The chief minister underlined the important role played by the people of Balochistan in the creation of Pakistan.
He stressed that the province’s history of sacrifice and loyalty to the nation stands in sharp contrast to the efforts of a small group seeking to destabilize the region.
In this sense, Bugti accused external forces of orchestrating an organised conspiracy to push the Baloch people into a “meaningless conflict,” warning that these attempts were aimed at creating civil unrest.
He was mentioning the recent security operations, Bugti revealed that security forces had killed 47 “Indian-sponsored terrorists” in a series of two-day operations near the Afghan border in Zhob.
The chief minister made it clear that while his government supports peace efforts, it would not hold talks with armed groups that threaten the state’s writ.
