NUSHKI: The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Nushki, Muhammad Yousaf Reiki, who had been abducted earlier this month was found dead in Mustang district of Balochistan on Thursday.
He was abducted by the Indian proxy Fitna al Hindustan on October 19 from the general area of Mangocher, District Mastung/
According to official sources, Yousaf’s body was recovered from Killi Sharbat Khan, located within the jurisdiction of the 117 Wing’s area of responsibility. Police teams from Kardigap immediately reached the site after the incident was reported and launched an investigation into the killing.
Authorities said preliminary findings suggest that the BLA was behind the abduction and killing, marking yet another targeted attack on law enforcement officials in Balochistan.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and a search operation is underway to trace the perpetrators.
The slain officer, a resident of Sorab, was known for his professionalism and commitment to maintaining law and order in the volatile region.
Earlier this week, the kidnapped son of Assistant Commissioner (AC) Ziarat, Muhammad Afzal, has been rescued from the mountainous area of Harnai, Levies officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to Levies sources, Mustansar Bilal was abandoned by unknown abductors in the rugged mountains of Harnai late Wednesday night. Security personnel later recovered him safely and shifted him to a secure location, where his family was reunited with him.
