BLF claims responsibility for attack on Ufone tower in Balochistan

QUETTA: The  terrorist organization, Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for destroying a Ufone communication tower with an explosive device in Dasht Nariamdan, located along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) road.

The tower, which was recently established to improve communication facilities for residents of the remote area, was completely destroyed in the blast. In this sense, no casualties have been reported so far. However, the attack has once again raised concerns over the repeated targeting of development projects and public service infrastructure in Balochistan.

Furthermore, local residents, too, expressed disappointment at the destruction of the tower, noting that communication services had finally begun to improve in the area. Meanwhile, the attack has once again sparked debate over who the real adversaries of Balochistan’s prosperity are.
