NEW DELHI: The situation in India’s Manipur state remains extremely tense.
Protests are continuing after a bomb attack killed two children.
According to foreign media reports, police in Imphal fired tear gas shells heavily at demonstrators and also used lathi charges to disperse them.
A curfew is in place in Imphal, with limited relaxation for a few hours during the day.
It has been three years since the ethnic conflict between the Meitei and Kuki tribes began.
