KHUZDAR: The long-standing propaganda of the proscribed terrorist organization Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) regarding so-called “missing persons” has once again been exposed, as credible reports confirm the death of Ramzan Dostainzai, a man previously listed as a “missing person,” who was an active member of the BLA for over a decade.
This “missing person,” as per the sources, familiar with the matter, Ramzan Dostainzai had been operating from Iran, where he received training and carried out subversive activities under the umbrella of the BLA.

Furthermore, for eleven years, Dostainzai’s name remained on the list of “missing persons,” and his family repeatedly claimed he had been forcibly disappeared. However, investigations reveal that he was not only alive but actively involved in multiple acts of terrorism across Balochistan, facilitated by safe havens in Iran and under the BLA’s command.
Moreover, recent developments suggest that Dostainzai had grown disillusioned with the BLA leadership and intended to abandon militancy. Upon his arrival in Khuzdar, internal rifts within the BLA escalated, resulting in his brutal murder.

This incident further asserted concerns regarding the BLA’s exploitation of the “missing persons” narrative. These individuals are then used as foot soldiers against the state, only to be discarded or eliminated when they attempt to exit the militant fold.
Meanwhile, the killing of Ramzan Dostainzai not only lays bare the brutal realities of the BLA’s operations but also shows how the “missing persons” narrative is strategically weaponized to malign state institutions while hiding the terrorist group’s own crimes and recruitment methods.
