QUETTA: Pakistani security officials have forcefully rejected the latest claims of attacks on security forces’ posts by the banned separatist organization, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), dismissing them as “false propaganda” and “baseless stories” fabricated to please external handlers.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, authorities categorically denied the BLA’s social media assertions of having launched assaults in the Bagzo area of Mand and the Beri area of Dasht in Balochistan. “There is not even a shred of truth in this,” the official response stated, emphasizing that no such incidents occurred.
The statement accused the “cowardly terrorists” of constructing elaborate fabrications on digital platforms as part of a coordinated disinformation campaign. It characterized these claims as a “drama to earn dollars,” suggesting the propaganda is manufactured to secure continued funding and to curry favor with what it termed “Hindu masters” across the border.
Officials noted that this pattern of issuing false claims following genuine security operations or independently to create an illusion of strength is a long-established tactic of the banned outfit. “It should be noted that BLA has been making such fabricated claims in the past as well,” the statement reiterated, urging the public and media to treat such unverified information from proscribed groups with extreme skepticism.
The strong rebuttal aims to counter the group’s narrative and reassure the public of the security situation in the mentioned regions. The statement concluded by affirming the resolve of security forces to maintain peace and stability across Balochistan.
Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner Munawar Hussain Magsi conducted a rigorous field inspection on Thursday to oversee the ongoing polio vaccination campaign across the district.
The DC visited multiple areas to personally review the progress of the immunization drive. He met with frontline polio teams deployed in the field to obtain a detailed briefing on their performance, coverage rates, and any challenges they were encountering.
