BLA’s attacks seen as betrayal of Baloch people’s dreams

QUETTA: The Baloch people have condemned the Indian-funded Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) for targeting schools and disrupting livelihoods, calling the group’s actions a betrayal of the Baloch people not a fight for freedom.

According to details, the residents of Baluchistan have shown displeasure over the BLA for targeting the innocent people for fulfilling their foreign agenda of disrupting the peace of Balochistan. They said that when the BLA bombs schools and snatches away jobs, it’s not the state that suffers, but the Baloch mother and child, adding that this is not liberation; it is the murder of Baloch dreams.

Locals stressed that while Pakistan is trying to bring education and development to the province, terrorists continue to deliver only death and destruction. “Pakistan gave us education. The terrorists gave us corpses,” said another resident, summing up the growing frustration.

The sentiment among many is that the Baloch people are now awake and increasingly rejecting the violent narrative pushed by banned terrorists groups. Public support for education and peace appears to be rising, even in areas long troubled by insurgency.
