NOSHKI: Pakistan’s intelligence agencies successfully countered a potential terror attack after recovering four suicide jackets near a highly sensitive area in Noshki, Balochistan. The operation, conducted based on precise intelligence, prevented the suspicious efforts of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).

According to local authorities, the suicide material was found hidden inside a motorcycle side bag, kept out of sight in a garbage heap along Bypass Road, near the Deputy Commissioner’s House, a designated Red Zone area under tight security surveillance.

Furthermore, security officials cordoned off the area shortly after the recovery, ensuring the safety of nearby residents and government buildings.

The BDS team quickly neutralized all four explosive devices, confirming that they were fully functional and prepared for use. The quick action by the authorities stopped what could have been a devastating blow to law and order in the region.

In this regard, investigative agencies have launched a comprehensive inquiry into the matter, with initial assessments linking the foiled attack to the proscribed BLA and BLF, both of which have been officially designated as terrorist organizations by the government.

These militant outfits have long been implicated in orchestrating sabotage activities and insurgency in Balochistan, with foreign support.

Moreover, sources within the security establishment have indicated that the terror infrastructure involved in this particular incident may have received backing from hostile foreign intelligence agencies.

Similarly, Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest yet most troubled province, has long faced challenges posed by insurgent groups seeking to destabilize the region and undermine the sovereignty of the state.

In such a case, the seizure of the suicide vests is a stark reminder of the consistent threats faced by Pakistan in its ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.

So far, local authorities have urged the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activity to the nearest law enforcement unit, as investigations remain ongoing to identify the culprits behind the attempted attack.
