QUETTA: The proscribed terrorist outfit Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has circulated misleading content on social media, falsely claiming that the people of Balochistan are hoisting flags in support of a so-called “Free Balochistan.”
However, investigations and verified reports reveal that these claims are baseless, deceptive, and form part of a broader propaganda campaign by the BLA to misguide the international community and destabilize Pakistan.
The BLA, a declared terrorist organization by the government and other international bodies, including the United Nations, has a long and well-documented history of engaging in anti-state activities. These include attacks on security forces, destruction of public property, targeting religious scholars, and the systematic brainwashing of vulnerable youth with separatist ideologies.

Despite the BLA’s efforts to disrupt peace and stability in the region, Balochistan continues to make vital strides in development and education. The government has constructed numerous educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and infrastructure projects aimed at integrating the region with the rest of the country and providing better opportunities for the local population.
Furthermore, government representatives and local leaders in Balochistan have strongly condemned the BLA’s campaign and asserted that Balochistan is, and will remain, an integral and constitutional part of Pakistan. They have called on the media and civil society to remain vigilant against attempts to sow discord through digital manipulation and to promote messages of unity and development.
The people of Balochistan, by and large, reject extremism and remain committed to peace, progress, and the federation of Pakistan.
However, the state remains committed to safeguarding the territorial integrity of Pakistan and ensuring that Balochistan thrives as a vital and inseparable part of the nation.
