HOSHAB: In a major counter-terrorism breakthrough, Pakistani security forces have eliminated a high-value target, killing Bisham Becho, a most-wanted commander of the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), during a special operation in the Hoshab district of Balochistan.
According to credible security sources, the operation was part of the ongoing, intensified crackdown against terrorist outfits, specifically targeting the BLA and militant factions associated with “Fitna Al Khwarij”. The mission, executed with precision by a unit of Pakistan Army Commandos, successfully tracked and engaged the militant commander.
Bisham Becho was a prominent and notorious figure within the BLA’s leadership structure, wanted for his alleged involvement in orchestrating and executing numerous terrorist activities across the province. His death marks a significant tactical and psychological blow to the militant organization, degrading its operational capabilities.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has yet to issue an official statement, but preliminary intelligence reports confirm the commander was gunned down during an exchange of fire. The operation underscores the security forces’ sustained intelligence-based offensive to dismantle terrorist networks and restore stability in the region.
This successful strike in Hoshab is being hailed by security officials as a critical achievement in the broader campaign to root out terrorism from Balochistan. It demonstrates the efficacy of special operations forces in targeting militant leadership in challenging terrain. The elimination of a commander of Becho’s stature is expected to disrupt planned attacks and temporarily destabilize the BLA’s chain of command, providing a window for further security gains. The forces remain on high alert for potential retaliatory actions.
