QUETTA: A commander of the banned outfit Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) abducted a woman in broad daylight and subjected her to sexual assault for four days before abandoning her in a deserted area.
The victim, identified as Hanal Baloch, was kidnapped from the Skalo area. She said BLA militants sexually assaulted her over four days.
In an interview with media, Hanal said the attack was orchestrated by BLA commander Dwogazin, also known as Sarabi, along with his accomplices.
She said the militants beat her and abandoned her in a remote area after the assault.
Hanal, in a video message, appealed to the government to apprehend the perpetrators. She condemned the BLA for claiming to fight for Baloch rights while targeting women and violating local traditions.
She called on authorities to take action to eliminate the group’s influence and protect civilians.
This incident highlights ongoing security challenges in Balochistan, where militant groups have repeatedly targeted civilians and women.
Yesterday, a woman identified as Nargis was abducted by the BLA militants from Kech district.
